The Beaver Wars

The Beaver Wars, or the French Iroquois Wars, or the Mourning Wars were a series of conflicts throughout the 17th Century wherein the Europeans and Indigenous powers struggled to control the fur trade, their neighbours and their own survival. There aren’t many memorials, monuments, or other physical forms of public memory of these events.
